Machinist

The Machinist (Prototype, Toolroom, Mechanical Assembler) converts computer-generated mechanical drawings into CNC using Master Cam software; produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintains CNC Mill equipment as necessary; coordinates, schedules, and produces proof of concept components and advises R&D principals and Mechanical Engineers on practical machining aspects of planned projects. The Machinist trains technicians on practical CNC principles and maintains quality and safety standards. In addition, the Machinist sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and measuring instruments; and performs repetitive work-station or line-assembly operations to produce components or to assemble those components into a completed product, when necessary, to support R&D or Manufacturing. They may also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools, applying knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for design, documentation, verification, and support of electronic subsystems for Ophir’s optical LiDAR products and for internal R&D projects.

Program Planner and Scheduling Analyst

The Program Planner and Scheduling Analyst will take a lead role in developing, coordinating, maintaining, and assessing complex proposal and resource loaded execution schedules for R&D, Engineering, and Production programs. This position will be instrumental in the evaluation of program planning products and practices and will be a key player in developing processes and associated remediation activities upon identification of process gaps. Position also entails defining and standardizing IMS structures, policies, and procedures to facilitate efficient and accurate program status, forecasts, resource evaluation, and consistent cost/schedule integration and EV application. This position requires the ability to analyze and proactively identify potential problems bringing them to the attention of the program office along with mitigation recommendations.

Logistics/Reliability Engineer

The Logistics/Reliability Engineer analyzes system requirements and concept of operation documents and system descriptions to develop evaluation plans. This position will prepare for and conduct the data collections and analysis to report status and results. Performs and coordinates detailed analyses to ensure integration of support considerations into the design process.

Configuration/Data Management Specialist

The Configuration/Data Management Specialist will be accountable for maintaining an engineering development, testing and production product lifecycle management tool (Windchill), as well as implementing configuration management control, managing the schedule for required subcontractor deliverable required documentation, and incorporation of engineering bill of material and operations data into an ERP system (Epicor).

Physicist

This position will conduct research and develop laser optics, remote sensing phenomena and optical subassembly. Will develop theories on the basis of observation, simulation and experiments, and develop customer specific sensor prototypes and testing environments. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of optical physics and engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments that affect future organizational objectives.
