Ground-based wind profiling provides wind, temperature and turbulence information in the atmospheric boundary layer. Using a range-resolved incoherent lidar system that is not affected by thermal and humidity gradients or turbulence, Ophir has a cost-effective solution. The unattended system provides accurate three-dimensional wind measurements in the atmospheric boundary layer.  Commercial-off-the-shelf components are used to ensure a cost-effective system.
