Littleton, Colorado  April 18, 2008   Ophir Corporation announced the promotion of Vice President Martin O'Brien to president.  Current president Loren Nelson PhD has moved to CEO and chairman of the avionics system developer.

O'Brien, who has been with Ophir for 20 years, was program manager for Ophir's B-2 stealth bomber contrail detection system. He has shepherded the company's optical air data systems development since its inception.  Ophir's optical air data system, a replacement for conventional air data probes, is slated to fly on a commercial aircraft later this year.
